Release Statement
-Participant is responsible for carrying
valid insurance throughout the homestay period covering, at the minimum,
sickness, accident, personal liability and personal belongings.
-Participant authorizes
Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. and Hosts to seek
medical attention for himself or herself in the event of
sickness, accident or other emergencies during the program.
Permission is also granted to release information regarding his
or her health to outside physicians and facilities. In all cases,
participant agrees that Intercultural Homestays and Services,
Inc. and Hosts are not to be held liable or responsible in any
aspect of medical treatment received.
-Intercultural Homestays and
Services, Inc. reserves the right to cancel a homestay without
refund when a participant refuses to accept and / or obey
reasonable family rules, policies or required behavior. This
includes obeying state and federal laws concerning use of alcohol
and drugs. Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. further
reserves the right to cancel a homestay when a participant is
unable to become reasonably acculturated to his or her host
family situation.
-Intercultural Homestays and
Services, Inc. is not responsible for negligence on the part of
the Host or participant pertaining to home or person when damage,
injury or death is the result.
-In case of damage to Host
home by participant, participant agrees that Intercultural
Homestays and Services, Inc. will not be held responsible; participant will
reimburse the host for the repair and / or other costs incurred. -Participant releases
Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. from any liability and
/ or responsibility for anything that may befall him / her.
-Participant must give
Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. seven (7) days advance
notice, letting us know the date, time of arrival and flight
number.
-Participant agrees to allow
Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. to use Participant's
name and photo for promotional purposes.
-Participant must notify
Intercultural Homestays and Services, Inc. by phone or in writing
after a decision to move to another Host is made, if the student
did not ask assistance from the homestay coordinators.

-Applications received less than 60 days prior
to the start of any quarter are not guaranteed a placement prior to arrival.
